we live in stories.
speaking
One of the things I’ve loved throughout my career, is the ability to make connection through storytelling.
“Who are you? Of course we know who we are, perhaps we’re not always clear.” What is your response and are you clear about it? Ask this question of yourself often. It’s one of the most meaningful and valuable questions you can ask and answer.

fresh insights, new perspective, self-improvement
I want people to know that there is no simple answer to the question, who are you. As you evolve, as your habits change, your identity changes as you assess and reassess what’s meaningful and valuable to you. Who are you is a question you should ask yourself often and sit with what comes up.
Speaking Overview
For the majority of her adult life, Monique has had the unique opportunity to experience the world through the lens of cameras, while conducting interviews and producing stories.
Her unique perspective about how we perceive each other is what has been her guiding light. She moves through stories knowing that the chief goal is that something must resonates. This is where the birth of people engagement, influence and persuasion happens.
With this in mind, Monique continues her quest to inspire conversation about the importance of effective communication. She believes that the first and most important conversations are the ones we have with ourselves, because it impacts how we relate to others. She believes that much of what we miss in communication is our unwillingness to acknowledge body language, our misuse of words and how passive we can be about how much we think we know about each other and ourselves.
Every situation, thing, person in our lives may be seen through one of two lenses: the lens of fear or the lens of love. And while we are not responsible for what our eyes are seeing, we are responsible for how we perceive what we are seeing.
“How you treat yourself is an invitation to how you allow others to treat you. Truth rises from deep within when we are quiet, still and alone.“ Monique Walker
When we spend time navigating the depths of our being, we free ourselves. When we are free, we thrive out of the pure radiant essence of our being. Monique believes that we live in a world tainted with mis-communication, misunderstandings and missed opportunities to experience deep connection. With over a decade of experience working in some of the most exciting and demanding social and business environments, Monique is able to bring practical, real world experience while coaching, mentoring and speaking.
It’s this fusion of first-hand experience and personal anecdotes that enable her to connect deeply with her audiences and create inspiring and transformational talks.

Who Are You?
What is the answer to one of life’s biggest questions? As I said in my TEDx Talk, “of course we know who we are . . . perhaps we’re not always clear.” It’s true, and as I’ve said since, I believe that the answer is one that will or should change or evolve over time. As we engage in life and all of it’s high and low moments, we are being persuaded and influenced by people, our experiences and the environments that we live and thrive in. All of this shapes and reshapes our identity, hence who we are. That said, it’s a good idea to be willing treat yourself to self assessments so that you’re always clear about who you are being.
I want people to know that there is no simple answer to the question, who are you. As you evolve, lifestyle, patterns, habits change. As these things change, what you believe, what you know and who you are changes as well. Identity is deeply connected to all of the aforementioned.
As you assess and reassess what’s meaningful and valuable to you, you are minimizing the risk of drifting away from your truth, the truth of who you are. Doing this can help you to find calm, clarity, connectedness and confidence when you need it.
Who are you is a question you should ask yourself often and sit with what comes up. You’ll gain new insights, new perspective, self-improvement and the wisdom to move forward in life.
